What is Micro COB LED Display
A micro COB (Chips on Board) LED display is an advanced display technology that utilizes a cutting-edge LED packaging method for LED light engines. Specifically, COB technology involves mounting LED chips directly onto the substrate on the back of the circuit board, which enhances durability and performance.
To achieve this, ultrasonic welding technology is used to conduct lead bonding of the LED chip, ensuring strong and reliable electrical connections. Afterward, resin glue is applied to encapsulate the lamp position, thereby protecting the LED chip from environmental factors such as moisture, dust, and physical damage.
As a result, micro COB LED displays offer superior brightness, energy efficiency, and longevity compared to traditional LED displays. Additionally, this technology enables finer pixel pitches, making it ideal for high-resolution applications like indoor screens, control rooms, and high-end commercial displays.
